The first Dinky Aeroplanes were produced in that annus mirabilis for Dinky, 1934.  The first set, No 60, appeared in the June 1934 Meccano Magazine and, from then on, new planes appeared regularly.

Like all pre-war Dinky Toys, they suffered from metal fatigue so good examples are not that easy to find.  They were particularly vulnerable because of their small size of approximately 1/200 compared to the 1/43 for the rest of the Dinky range.

But they are little gems and we propose to search for the best we can find for this page.  If you have any examples you wish to exchange or sell, please let us know.
